I just purchased my computer a few days ago and installed. When i go into
windows task manager my CPU percentage ranges from 0-4 % eve though I am not
doing anything. I have antivirus and anti spyware and it has not detected
anythign is this normal??

Your computer is turned on isn't it. So it is doing something,besides your
anti-virus program runnung their many other services / applications running
in the backgroung that will use cpu time,yes this is normal.

Having some visable cpu use is normal. On a side note, on any new machine,
go directly to windowsupdate and make sure it's up to date on security
updates.
