I am thinking about forcing our users to change there
password every 90 days via user manager policies. One of
the problems I am running into is when will this effect my
users? What I need to know is if I set this on the first
of March will this force my long time users to change
there passwords on that day or do I have 90 days till it
effects every user.

It will force all users that have passwords 90 days old or older to change
their password before they can logon. However any user that has "password
never expires" in their user account properties will be exempt from any
password age rule. You will want to communicate the change well ahead of
time and possibly encourage users to change their password now so as
everyone does not have to do it at the same time. Be sure to communicate any
rules such as password complexity or minimum length to users also." Net user
username "will show the last time a user changed their password. --- Steve
