I have an obnoxious program called "Interstitial Ad
Delivery by 180 Search Delivery" that appears to be
responsible for causing pop-up advertisements when I use
Internet Explorer. Another program called "PAD Lookups
by 180 Search Assistant" also appears to be tied into the
problem. When I try to delete the program, I am told I
have to be connected to the internet. I click OK and it
takes me to a site requiring me to download and use
a "removal" program. I am not willing to get stung
twice. Any one know of an easy way to remove this adware?

These both give useful information--you may find the manual removal in the
second link more useful.

Download and install Lavasoft's Ad-Aware; there is a free
version available if money is an issue.

I'm glad you were cautious in downloading something else
for fear of being "stung twice," because there ARE
programs/companies out there that claim to remove adware,
but who were actually found to be less than honest (they
ended up putting more spyware/adware on your computer).
You don't have to worry about Lavasoft/Ad-Aware being one
of them, as they are reputable and have been around a long
time.

Also, Spybot Search & Destroy (similar to Ad-Aware in that
it helps scan and remove spypare/malware from your
computer) is another program you may want to look into.

SpywareBlaster is another one you might want to get; it
doesn't remove spyware once you have it (like Ad-Aware and
Spybot do), but it does prevent it from getting on your
computer in the first place.
