Hi
Does anyone know why every time I switch my computer on, my firewall was
automatically turned to off? It all started a few days ago when I got a
message that I have spyware in my system. I panicked, downloaded Ad-Aware
and removed all the stuff in the system that were critical. I continued
serving the internet without problems but the same thing happens again after
switching off and on again, the firewall was turned off and I had spyware
warning again. I never had this problem before and I have not downloaded any
unusual stuff or served any unusual sites. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello ! Your firewall is being disabled because you are still infected by
malicious software (malware) . You need to clean it :)
Since you use the word "spyware warning" I guess there is something
Smithfraud into your computer .

The first thing that David usually recommends would be the first I will , so
goto Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs and remove all the versions of Java
RE you might have installed , After that manually delete the folder "Java" in
C:\Program files

Perform the instructions here http://pandaman.my.contact.bg to eliminated
the malware . If you have problems with your Windows firewall after that ,
you can read this :

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
