Spammers relayed thru our server

Spammers relayed spam thru our server
We have stopped it now but I want to kno
if those spammed will think the junk came from us
What might the result be

The server was running NT4, not sure which SP

Yes, they will think it's from you.
But, your biggest problem is you are probably listed in spam databases, and
your mail will start getting rejected.

You might start checking at:
www.dnsstuff.com
