Microsoft's recommendations for Browser and Email security give
instructions to set up Outlook to read messages as plain text.
However, the option doesn't appear as described on what I believe
to be the latest version and service pack of Outlook:

Microsoft Outlook 2002 (10.6515.6626) SP3

The checkbox "Read all standard mail in plain text" does
not appear in the indicated location nor anywhere else
I can find. I've had a number of people ask me about this
in the past hour.

When I try a Google search for instructions, all I can find for
Outlook are registry editing instructions.

So are Microsoft's instructions wrong or am I missing something?

To answer my own question, the instructions only apply to
Outlook 2003. 2002 requires a registry change. It would be
nice if Microsoft made note of that in their instructions.
