I have come to realise I have a Trojan on board...can't=20
get rid of it.Now I find,when scanning for updates,I am=20
given the repeated roll-up,over and over again.

I am tired,it is 2.58am.I need to be up in the morning as=20
I am in the middle of organising an airlift.

I am appealing to the writers of this Trojan to please=20
tell me how to remove it.

There are people suffering in this world and your selfish=20
actions are catastrophic.Forget your egos for a moment,if=20
my computer is inoperable,or compromised,I cannot=20
possibly arrange to send anything by air.

I have no idea what you think you are=20
acheiving.Please,show some consideration.You are not the=20
folk heroes you seem to believe you are.

=A3185 that I will be forced to pay Microsoft to get your=20
nasty programme off my computer, means =A3185 less to feed=20
and clothe the children of the Sitara orphanage.

=A3185 that would perhaps have been spent on Obstetrics=20
equippment for a Hospital in Lahore.

Thank You.

I'd be very surprised if whomever wrote the Trojan=20
that is infecting your machine reads this newsgroup. I=20
would also be very surprised if this was the only time=20
that your computer was infected - infection is an ongoing=20
hazard in today's world.=20
There are practices that can minimize your risk:
1) Put up a firewall (ZoneAlarm offers one free),=20
2) Keep your machine current on critical patches
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
3) Keep your browser security set to the highest level=20
that will still allow you to do what you need to online,=20
4) Choose hard to guess passwords,=20
5) Don't open attachments you don't recognize and trust,=20
6) Use antivirus software and keep it updated (do=20
frequent full scans),=20
7) Learn about the strategies social engineers use to=20
trick people into running their malware,=20
8) Get antispyware such as Adaware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
(its free) and be sure to check it for updates and run=20
scans frequently.
There are thousands of infections out there, and=20
noone reading your message has any way to know which one=20
you are infected with. As noted, you need to run an=20
antivirus scan (for example the free program Housecall)
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
and choose to delete any infections found. If none are=20
found, run Adaware (updated) and delete any infections=20
found.=20
I assume that you have donations of supplies and=20
funds to assist you in your charitable efforts. Please=20
consider appealing to your sponsors for the donation of=20
computer expertise, on call to help you out in situations=20
such as you have experienced. I am sure that there are=20
many people who would be honored to help. Good luck.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised at all. What better ego
boost can there be than to sit in virus support groups and
watch people cry for help because of something YOU wrote.
