Using Automatic Updates on WinXP Pro. Received KB835732
and installed it. Every time I go on line, it downloads
again. Any suggestions?

XP_Hotfix_Prompt.vbs - Prevents Windows Update from
prompting you to install a Hotfix you know is already
installed.
Here's something I found. Since I have not tested it, I
cannot say whether it'll work. What it does is simply
remove the record that the fix has been done from the
registry, resetting so you have to do it again, this time
hopefully for the last time

Usage: Download XP_hotfix_prompt.vbs and save it to your
hard drive. Double click the VBS file you downloaded and
you'll be prompted to enter the KBxxxxxx or Qxxxxxx number
of the Hotfix. No checking is done to see if the Hotfix
is actually installed on your system, so its your
responsibility to ensure that it is.

Note: I cannot guarantee that this will work for ALL
HOTFIXES. Using the tools at my disposal, I have
determined how the majority of checking is done for the
presence of a particular hotfix. This mechanism may not
be the same for all Hotfixes and could change at any time

Thanks. Will give that a try if the problem continues.
When I looked at the possibility of removing it and then
reloading the download it gave me a list of programs (all
installed since the first time I installed it). Thought
that the fact that I had added new software might be the
cause.

I didn't say to remove the fix. I said to remove the
registry marker which tells windows that the fix has been
istalled, and gave you a link to a vbs routine which will
make it easy for you.
