If you want to successfully install SP3, you need to disable Spybot's
TeaTimer (which is what is causing the problem and yes, this is a problem
for installing SP3) and your antivirus. I would have *nothing* but what is
absolutely necessary running in the background. FWIW, I've installed SP3 on
a *lot* of machines and have had no problems, but I follow best practices,
i.e., making sure the system is squeaky-clean, running in tip-top shape,
and nothing extra is running resident.
