I have found that the critical security update (Q828028) has not been
installing properly on our Windows 2000 workstations. After the
(required) re-boot, the patch is supposed to show up in add/remove
programs, but does not. It is only after a second (and sometimes a
third) time of running the install that it finally works.
Also, there is no registry entry for it which there should be. This is
ocurring on workstations throughout our company and in several
locations across the country.
While we are currently only testing the patch, we do not want to
deploy it until we're sure that it installs properly and consistently.
Has anyone had any similar issues with this? Any suggestions would be
helpful.
