Recently when visiting certain websites a message came up
to insert the Powerpoint disk. I resisted this for awhile, but
finally gave up and inserted the Powerpoint installation CD,
and voila, tribalfusion popups are back.

Has tribalfusion found some kind of way to defeat IE's
popup blocker using Powerpoint?

Windows version?

Most tribalfusion pop-ups are Flash-powered and require active sciprting.
