I installed Norton Security Client on a network computer
with Windows Xp Professional, later I red that i must
been disable the firewall before installing this software
so I uninstall the Norton Security Client but now I can't
find the Windows Xp firewall advanced tab where it
supposed you disable or enable the firewall.

Hi,

Open Network Properties (Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections) ->
right click on your network connection (e.g. "Local Area Connection") and
select Properties from the menu. Click on Advanced tab...

By default in Windows XP till SP 2 ICF (personal firewall that comes with
Windows) is disabled.

Hi,

What is the name of connection that you are working with (e.g. "Local Area
Connection" or ...). How was it installed on your computer -- did it came
with Windows XP or did you used your ISP CD?

Hi,

The name of the connection is "Local Area Connection",
this computer is a client of a Windows Small Business
Server. I found a Windows firewall icon on Control Panel
and is disable I enter there but it don't let me change
any option it says that is controlled by a policy group.
This windows firewall icon doesn't appear on the rest of
the computers of the network and I don't know if the
installation of the Symantec Client Security has affected
the windows firewall option on this computer.

Please let me know if I can do something to fix this
problem.

Thanks four your help.

If firewall is disabled and even you can access network resources after you
installed Symantec Client Security, you should be OK ...
