Messenger Services

I get these pop ups that say "Messenger Services" what is
causing them, and how do I make them stop?

Michael,

may be ur using windows 2000 or XP, goto your administration tools in your
control panel select 'services' and disable the messaging services and
select the manual start from prevents to start automatically when ur reboot
ur system.

Jayaram is correct, Michael. If you disable the service, you have stopped
the messages. Left the door open for Jayaram to come in using that port
that you disabled the warning sign for.

In addition to the disabling of the service... Look into enabling your
firewall if XP or getting a free firewall if you are Windows 2000 or XP.
