Had a problem today with these three pieces on multiple
Win2k pcs. Do they not play well together? I am now unable
to uninstall or reinstall McAfee and Office. I deleted any
reference to McAfee, Network Associates and vscan451 out
of my registry, and when I go to reinstall or install a
higher version of McAfee, Windows thinks the old 4.51 is
still there. Any suggestions? Outlook, Excel, Word and
Powerpoint were affected too. When we went into an Office
program it kicked us out with an error about bad links. We
have an SUS pushing patches, could this have triggered an
adverse reaction on the part of McAfee and/or Office 2K?

As it turns out we were Blasted by Blaster. The software
installs were erroring out due to all resources being
eaten by Blaster.
