How do I create a group policy so that users in the USERS group cannot change
their proxy settings? Also, I need to create a default lock-out of those
settings, because new users log in through AD every day, and I want them to
automatically be locked out of the internet upon first logon. We cannot,
however, lock out users in the Administrators group because we need IE for
updating software.

I have found settings to modify in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER reg, but that only
applies to the user whos logged in. The key here is that new users log in
all of the time, and I need those lock-outs in place automatically while
still letting the administrator group log into and change the proxy settings.
Please help!

Hi,

Do you have domain or workgroup environment? If you have domain environment
is it e.g. Windows 2003 or Windows NT or ... What operating system do you
use (e.g. Windows XP).

One option would probably be IEAK (Internet Explorer Administration Kit).

It's a domain environment ... it's an NT domain at HQ (remote) ... our
workstations use Windows 2000 ...

Thanks
