We would like to allow certain users to access their e-
mail and the Internet (via our server), without being
allowed to access the rest of our network. The problem
being, to allow the users to get their e-mails, we are
authenticating them on the network.
The server is Windows 2002. Workstations are Windows XP.
Is there a quick way of limiting access without having to
change the properties of every folder on our network?

Create a group for those users and then configure the user rights assignment
for "deny access to this computer from the network" on those computers,
possibly via Group Policy, with that group. Except do not do that for domain
controllers or they will not be able to be authenticated. -- Steve
