I have spoken with several Universities and we would all be interested in
knowing whether or not Microsoft is going to release an Internet Explorer
Enhanced Security Configuration for Windows XP that would be similar to the
one in Windows Server 2003.

I doubt this, seeing as how MS just completed XP Service Pack 2. It is
possible that you could see a tool that automates changing the existing IE
and other Windows security settings that you can already change via Group
Policy and the GUI. The expectation is that XP SP2 could be the last major
revision to IE until Longhorn around 2007, and that version of IE should
only be available by upgrading to Windows Longhorn.
