Today I received a message from Internet Explorer(I have
received these before without a problem) in a blue box
which said that an error had been received and that the
computer had to be closed down. It then gave two boxes;
one said 'send error report' and the other said 'don't
send'. I then chose one of the boxes and closed down the
machine. I think that the error I made was to close down
the machine myself rather than let the software do it!
Anyway, I cannot get rid of this box and everytime I turn
the computer on and try and try and get on the internet
by using Internet Explorer the same message is received.
I have pressed the request boxes to both send and don't a
report and nothing changes. Will someone please tell me
what to do.

Many thanks.

Your running Windows XP, its built in to the system. What
ever is on yoru computer is causeing an illegal error
causing yoru software to shutdown automatically. The only
thign you can do it find out what is causing the illegal
operations, then the shutdowns will stop...possibly a
faulty load of the OS or maybe even a ram
malfunction...Good Luck

this is somewhat similar to the behavior exhibited
by the blaster and welchia worms, which cause computers
to shutdown quickly after starting up, repeatedly.

i assume you have the blaster patch installed but...
