This security patch was applied to all of our Domain
Servers earlier this week. It is causing access and
connection issues with remote machines trying to connect
to our servers.

After removing and rebooting the server the problem
remains?

Are there register entries that need to be
removed/modified?

I was able to backoff an XP Pro box to a earlier point in
time, but cannot do a restore to these servers

Hello Curt,

You did not mention the OS in question. NT? 2000? 2003?

Check the KB article for information:

For example, for Windows 2000, it states:
System administrators can use the Spunist.exe utility to remove this
security patch. The Spuninst.exe utility is located in the
%Windir%\$NTUninstallKB823980$\Spuninst folder

I would recommend that you resolve the core issue here so that the patch can
