I have noticed activity on the guest user account on my
pc when I am online.
Today Norton blocked a virus sent via the guest account,
previously when I noticed the pc was running slowly I
found processes running on guest.
I have the account switched off any ideas what I should
do next?

Thanks Dave

1. unplug from the internet ASAP!
2. install and run all the virus, spyware, adware, trojan, etc scanners you
can get. or better yet reformat and install from scratch to be sure you are
clean.
3. install all the updates for the os you have
4. install a firewall
5. disable the guest account unless you really need it for some good reason.
6. then go back on-line.

I have run spybot s&d, Ad-Aware and SpywareGuard.
I have Norton Utilities 2005 and the Microsoft Security
Centre shows firewall, updates and virus protection as on.
The guest account has been disabled all the time, even
when I noticed activity the guest account was still
disabled.
Am I looking for a trojan and how can I find it short of
reformatting?
