Unfortunately at this time, we are required to provide a generic account to a
group of people that are attached to the domain. On occasions, the password
will just quit, die, stop working, and we have to reset it. Has anyone else
experienced this kind of an issue and was it solved?

In that account properties make sure that "user can not change password is
selected" as some joker may be changing the password. If you have enabled
auditing of account management in Domain Controller Security Policy you
would be able to see if that is the case as an event is recorded when a user
changes their password. --- Steve
