Replying is the worst thing you can do. Confirms the address and it gets
sold more vehomently.

You can setup filters and rules...
You can get a Spam Killing application.
Search Google.
I like SpamBayes and/or Spamihilator, depending on the situation.
You can change your email and only give it out to friends and never use it
to sign up for anything and hope your ISP doesn't sell it.

That's about it. Spam is a fact of life

Filters (message rules) in your email programme invariably won't work (for
very long). Get a programme such a MailWasher to help you out.

check out this site:

http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/comm/fwspam.html

it's got a few freeware antispam tools you can try. go with the ones with 4
or 5 stars, they tend to be more popular.

if you use/get ms outlook 2003, it's got a junk mail filter built into the
application that is very user friendly.
