I am researching dynamic DNS providers and was quickly overwhelmed by the
number of options. (see above link)

I would appreciate any feedback or recommendations that anyone may be able
to offer. I'm not adverse to spending some money. I am primarily interested
in being able to VPN or RDP to various machines in the Midwest. Static IP's
are not an option for them, at least not for the foreseeable future.

Thanks in advance.

I've been using www.dyndns.org for years with great success. I've heard
decent stuff about www.no-ip.com too but haven't tried them.

Thanks, LW. As a long time lurker I respect your opinion.

I concur with Lanwrech on http://www.dyndns.org/. I've been using them for
over a year, and have had no problems.

There are plenty of freebies around - dyndns, mydns, no-ip etc etc, but
there are absolutely no guarantees or SLAs with these services, so if you're
running business critical stuff, then go for a paid up service and read the
contracts VERY carefully ! ;)
