I just upgraded from Win98SE to WinXP Pro and went to the Windows Update
page and saw thee 17 critical updates and downloaded them all. After reboot,
only two updates were listed. In the history of installs, it lists all as
being installed OK. How can I get back and get these downloads back ? I
assume they are on the PC, but cannot find them, Is there a way to install
these manually ?
Thanks
Tedd

Tedd;
See #1 on this link and manually get them from the Windows Update
Catalog:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/wufix.htm

Also, it is best to install no more than 4 at a time.

Hi Jupiter,
I was using my old golden rule of no more then two per install. However it
looks like they all did make it ( I hope) They are not listed in IE's ABOUT,
but under control panel and ADD/REMOVE all 17 are listed there. Talked to
PSS support and they said that is normal. Whew..
Thanks !

Tedd;
2 is better.
4 is rather arbitrary.
The idea of not doing all at once so there are no conflicts and easier
to see which caused the problem if one materializes.
