I continualy receive pop-up messages from MSN "Critical
Updates" Notify Later/ Update Now. I know there is a
default setting for updates, but for quite sometime now I
have not been able to download a "Critcal Update", always
displays a 0 updates available. This pop-up always
displays itself in the middle of being on-line and can be
quite annoying, especially if you quit what you doing and
and click "View Critical Updates Now" and there are no
immediate updates to view or download. Any suggestions?

Maybe one of the MVPs can also tell us how to prevent the Update (scheduled
task) reverting to the default setting of daily, every 5 minutes for 72
hours after each access to the site.

I set my scheduled Update to monthly, every 20 minutes for 2 hours. This
works until the next time Update is accessed then the schedule reverts to
the default MS setting.

Is there a way to stop this reversion to the default setting?
