You might do better with a more specific report.
Install from where? "Windows Update" or "Automatic
Updates" or manually from the downloaded file?
What version of XP (Pro or Home)?
How much disk space do you have?
What specific error or malfunction occurs (Note, if it just
freezes you pretty much can't give much of a report.)
90 minutes sounds excessive so perhaps you are downloading
by modem?
One try might be to DOWNLOAD the file first from the
"Windows Update Catalog" site instead of the ordindary
(automatic) Windows Update page.
