I just went to Critical Update page tonight and expected to see the usual "IE
7 Critical Update" download. I have been putting off downloading IE 7 for a
while as I am doing too many other things.

However, tonight I 'DO NOT' see the "IE 7 Critical Downlaod" listed any
longer. Would anyone know why not?

(There was just one download = KB 905474 (Genuine Advantage), which I did
download and it then checked my computer and said everything was okay.)

IE7 has *always* been offered as a High-Priority update, Alice.

Did you "hide" IE7?

Nope. We did not hide.
Same thing happened several weeks ago (on our other PC also) and then after
a few days, it reappeared.
Just thought some other folks might have had same experience.

Server issues, possibly. There's been some nattering about this on the
internet (e.g., http://www.neowin.net/index.php?act=view&id=38291) but I
don't think there's anything to make of it myself.

I have seen the same thing in the past few weeks. This is mainly on
Windows 2003 servers. I simply snagged it off of IE's download page.

Microsoft has removed IE7 from critical updates. It is now optional.

IE7 has *never* been a critical update, Jim. It's always been an optional
High-Priority update.
