I read of this serious security problem. The problems
affected a technology in the newest versions of Windows
known as "abstract syntax notation," a way to share data
across different computers. Some of Microsoft's built-in
security features -- such as its Kerberos cryptography
system -- rely on the flawed software.

I have Windows XP Home Edition. I'd like to know which
one of the "Critical Updates" will patch this problem.

You should go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and get ALL of the
critical updates ...

MS04-007 is the one you are speaking of, and it is the one listed as 828028
...
