IE 6 crashed, but I was able to get it back. I was just
wondering if microsoft tells people that there has been an
error and ask users, whether or not, to send info about
their computer system?

Yes the OS defaults to wanting to send info to Micosoft.

right click ' My computer'
select 'Properties"
select 'Advanced' tab
push the 'error reporting' button on the bottom

you can now set the error reporting options to microsoft.

We need more information to be able to help you. Click on the details button
(or details link) when your system crshes and provide:

xxx caused an xxx in xxx at xxx:xxxx

or if you are using a later operating system, provide information about the
files (modules) involved in the crash.

If you are using the Error Reporting Tool, disable it so you can access the
error message in a more understandable form. Informationon how to disable
the Error Reporting Tool is here:
