In theory, any information security team should have a hand in any major
infrastructure change, simply because a risk analysis should be required.
If their current process doesn't involve information security teams in major
infrastructure or systems changes, your problems are bigger than AD.
Try telling them that. It'll be easier than making a case for this specific
instance.
