Sorry, but this is the part that gets me every time.

That is a sackable offence where I work. Your password is the same as the
key to your house and car, and I am quite sure you dont have your house key
taped on to your front door! ;)
If you did, then some "bad guy"could come righht along, let himself in.. and
then go change all of the locks in your house..
Who has the key now?
After you fix the fallout, please take this experience on board as a
constructive lesson. The more people in internet-land with some basic
security savvy, the safer internet-land will be..
