You would need to obtain a certificate from a Certificate Authority. This
could be something like Verisign or your own Certificate Authority if you
have a server version of Windows. A certificate from Verisign would be
widely trusted while a certificate from your own CA would not, though an
administrator can make computers on your network [and possibly those not on
your network] trust your CA. To create a digital signature you would use
your "private" key and users who have your public key could verify your
digital signature. Public Key Infrastructure uses a public and private key
for a user/computer. The term certificate really means the user/computer
"public" key though often users use the term certificate to refer to the
public/private key pair. Your public key can be widely distributed but the
