Can't get to secure websites

Hi, a friend cleaned up my hard drive and installed
Windows 2000. I can't log on to my secure sites such as
Electric Company etc. to pay bills like I did before she
cleaned it up. Do you you why?

Have you been to WindowsUpdate and installed all critical updates?

What version of Internet Explorer (open IE and go to Help, about) and what
"cipher strength" does it show?

You have to install at least Service Pack 2, I believe [select My Computer/properties
to view service pack info under system description. Also see link below for more
