When I click on a link to an .exe file nothing happens.
Other computers on the network can do this.
I cannot find any settings in I.E. or Windows XP that
contol this feature.

Can anyone help?

Cannot download .exe Files using I.E. 6 by Wayne

Andy,

Thanks for the reply. I tried both suggestions -
neither worked for me. But, I found I was able to
download an .exe file (Ad-Aware 6.0) from one of the
sites listed on www.lavasoft.de.

Checking further, the problem seems to be
localized to Microsoft download sites (primarily MSDN) -
how fitting!
