I'm working on a machine with adware problems. I've used CWShredder to get
rid of CWS and when it did, it must have removed wmplayer.exe because when i
boot up. i get an error saying:

Cannot find the file 'WMPLAYER.EXE' (or one of its components). Make sure
the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are
available.

i searched the registry and there are numerous references to wmplayer.exe.
what do i do with them? thanks for any help.

Don't dig into the registry, but go here:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/winfiles.html

to replace the file--i.e. re-download the current version and install it.
