My windows XP Pro machine started rebooting, upon
investigation of the Log files the problem was lage
number of logon failures filling up the security log
file. Adjusting logging properties corrected that issue.
BUT.......

How can I eliminate these bogus logon attempts? They are
all from 2 "workstations" not on my local network?

Do you have Internet Connection Firewall setup on your machine?

Right click on your internet connection for its properties, and see the
advanced tab.
