I keep getting balloon messages telling me that "Automatic Update" is off on
starting up XP SP2.

Well I want it off, as I wish to do manual updates to approve what is being
installed.
I am a very competent programmer - no viruses, no trojan horses, no worms,
no spyware on my PC.

But I am tired of these balloon messages - how do I disable the unnecessary
reminders? Registry setting?

Thanks
