Can anyone tell me whether I need to start a new
subscription to McAfee Security Scans if I still have
several months with a subscription on my old computer?
I've tried to sign on for updates online, but am told I
need to buy a new subscription.

My old computer is very dead, so it seems that I should
be able to transfer the account to my new system. A free
trial is available with my new computer. However, McAfee
tells me that I already have an account so I'm not
eligible for the trial. Sort of a catch 22.

By the way, the McAfee website was absolutely no help
with this question.

Thanks for any help.

You really have to contact their support and explain your problem.
