Accoona Blockage of IE6

I have Windows 98 and IE6. Accoona has taken over my search engines and
displays itself on all ads. I've tried removing it from the Add / Remove
Software screen but it's not listed. I've searched Explorer to no avail. How
do I get rid of this thing and how do I block it in the future? Help! Greg

This is Greg. I needed to correct my post. My system is XP. I have 98 on my
other machine.

Go through the following malware steps systematically, doing everything
with updated tools in Safe Mode:

I looked at your site and it looks similar to " The Parasite Fight", which
I've already run with no success. Thanks for the help, what did I miss?

I'm sorry Greg, but since I'm not sitting with you looking at your
computer, I can't know what you missed. Did you run HijackThis and post
a log to one of the recommended forums? The HJT forums on aumha.net
