I'm having a problem removing two registry keys.
I'm using XP(pro sp2). I'm logged in as admin and I always get 'acces denied
(5)' whenever I try to open the key in regedit. When I try to change the
permissions/ownweship for the key the result is always unable to change
permissions.

I've tried this in Safe Mode as well. I'm really stuck, I can't think of
what else to try.

HELP ME PLEASE!

Are you using regedit or regedt32? Try with the latter one.

Thanks for your response Arek, but the regedt32.exe on my XP(pro sp2) is
only 4KB and does not run as a 'standalone' executable???!

BTW, there are two copies, one in \windows\system32 and one in
\windows\system32\dllcache. Is there another version I should download???

What are the registry keys? What is the virus/malware status of the
computer? What are you trying to do?

Here's the story in a nutshell malke, hope this helps:

What: problem removing two registry keys
\HCR\Nero Cover Designer .Document
and
\HCR\Nero Cover Designer . Template

Why: need to re-install Nero and it hangs at 'installing Cover Designer'

Which: version Nero 6

OK, but I see you've multiposted this and gotten answers in another
group. I'll close out this thread since your other post is active. In
the future, don't multipost. Crosspost only judiciously if you must.
