I'm a system administrator and working in a security area. Any USB plug-in
hardware devices like Pendrive Camera etc.. is forbidden. I was asked to
look for some software that tracks users violating the above restrictions.
This software could be installed inside the users PC's(I can install it from
my server), in the Domain Controller or anywhere.

What are the alternatives available in the market?

Thanks in advance

Gil

Instead of looking for a product that just monitors, I think you need to be
in search of a USB Port Management Suite. There are many out there. I know
that HP has a solution with HP Protect Tools. There are others such as,
DeviceWall, SecureWave, Reflex Disknet Pro.

If I were in your situation, I would be in search of a product that
effectivly manage all ports on workstations. Keep in mind that Windows
Vista will relieve this issue with its own port management built in and
configurable via Group Policy.

Hope this helps!

Hi Gil,

I have been unable to find such software so I'm considering developing it.
Could you please e-mail me at info at codingo dawt net with what you would
expect from such a product?

Did you not read the previous post? I mentioned at least a couple that have
these capabilities.
