    - Creating e-mail style newsletter I currently have a very nicely laid out newsletter done in Publisher 2002. I am familiar with HTML and CSS; plus have Studio MX. I know that I can save my newletter as a Web Page but this creates a lot of excess coding. What would be the best way to go about this process? Yes, the newsletter will be in HTML & CSS (no javascript) and have one image that is 600x171. The image is used as a logo.     - page navigation control in Publisher is missing I have a free standing copy of Microsoft Publisher 2002. My Page Navigation Control at the bottom left is missing. When I make a booklet or card the only way I can switch from page to page is to use the Go To function. This is cumbersom. I've reinstalled the software & I've enabled all toolbars.     - I'm having problems inserting text files from notepad When I try to insert a text file created in notepad, which contains characters such as Â£, $ or letters with symbols over them, into a text box in Publisher 2003 it comes up with a File Conversion window, and the options to choose the Text encoding option. This didnt happen in our older version of Publisher, on our old PCs. We have new PC running Windows XP and Office Professional 2003 and I want to be able to insert the files without this window appearing. I have checked the registry and CharacterSet value is set to ANSI.     - Can't delete scraps off to the side Hi. I was revising a page and dragged some images off my page and onto the scrap area (what do you call the gray space around the document anyway?). These images don't show up when I'm paging through the document, but they do show on print preview and now I see they showed up on my printed copy too! I can't delete or cut them.     - Updating a calendar from Publisher 2000 to Publisher 2003 In a calendar I created using Publisher 2000 I have specific dates and ocassions that I inserted as text under certain dates. I'm trying to upgrade the calendar from Publisher 2000 to Publisher 2003. When I select the option to update the older calendar to a 2006 calendar, I loose all the formating and dates that I had created in the older calendar.     - Give Publisher 2003 its own "Inside Out" user manual I'd like to see MS Publisher 2003 get its own, standalone user manual by Microsoft Press, like is done for nearly every other Office program with the "Inside Out" series. I tried creating a rectangle behind it and then sending it to background. That did not work. I tried another piece of advice "send to back". That did not work. I am using the Publication templates to create newsletters, (Banded Newsletter) and I'm changing various text block colours and adding and changing a few pictures. The problem is this: Sometimes when I close and reopen the files the text has changed back to white from black (usually the same text block on the second page), and some of my pictures have to be selected again and Sent to Front as they are half hidden. Basically, I want to take a simple B&W clipart (a Yin-Yang, for example) and put it over a solid color background so that the background color shows through the white areas of the image.
