    - Copying old newsletter woes re document size Hi all. Just discovered this newsgroup today, so figured I'd bounce my question by y'all. I'm editor for my local Harley Owners Group & use MS Publisher 2000 to produce the newsletter. I like to include photos, where possible, to liven it up & get folks in the Chapter to read it (my predecessor's were a bit on the bland side). I tried using Publisher 2003 for a while, but there was an issue with clipart disappearing from the screen & positioning being screwed up & so on, so I reverted back to 2000. My issue is this. One a month I've created a newsletter & sent it off for copying & putting on our web site (which is at www.thunderbayhog.com, by the way). The next month I copy the previous month & remove the graphics & old text & build the new issue. Problem is, even when I've used smaller (in KB/MB) graphics, the document is still way too large for what's in it. So it appears that it still has data in it that can't be seen & is making the newsletters way too large for my Chapter President's liking. Is there some way, short of starting from scratch each issue, to get Publisher to clean out this invisible trash to get the document size down to a reasonable level?     - Automatic text insertion When looking at the Publisher File canned "Post Cards" design format, if you type your name and address details on one side, it is automatically entered as the return address on side 2.     - Wrong Publisher File Attached in Email? I have a user who took an existing Publisher file (fileA) off of the network, and did a Save As... and changed the name (to fileB) and saved the file to a different directory. She edited fileB (from 6 pages down to 1) and attached it in an email and sent it off for review. When the email was recieved, fileA was attached, and when opened contained the contents of fileA (6 pages). fileB should have been recieved. The user says that fileB was attached and after sending the email, did a shift+delete so the email was not in the "sent" or "deleted items" of Outlook. Has anyone ever heard of this happening, or did this user most likely just attach the wrong file and not realize it. I told the user I would see if anyone has ever come across this and would give an update when I did so.     - Print problems For publishing a company catalogue I have chosen a template with a single start page, single end page and inbetween double sided pages obviously placed there for some kind of convenience for later laminating or stapling. My problem is that, instead of relying on my copyshop ready-printed ones, I want to be able to print this out at the company as well when I need a copy, but then double sided! My color laser is set to print duplex, so that part is 100% ok. Why does the document still print out as single-sided? What have I done wrong? Should I choose another template that is already set to print duplexed or where am I going wrong here?     - Publisher Forms posting to SQL This question will pertain to any who are familiar with php and SQL and using it with Publisher. I am currently using Publisher to build a site using an SQL database. Front Page's extensive options seem to be a detriment at this time, so I'm sticking with Publisher. Now, everything seems fine in terms of the options in the form, except when I enter a practice Username and Password and click Submit, the form is gaining access to the database NOT with the info I provided, I guess it's using the info in the .php file on the SQL server. When I click submit, shouldn't Publisher Submit the Username and Password I entered in the form? The Username I use is valid with proper rights. Any ideas? Any clarification on my part? Having used Word in an effort to create a products catalogue, I got bitterly dissapointed as the document crashed with no possibility to repair it after about 25 pages consisting of pictures and text. You are experiencing printer driver issues. Go to the manufacturer's web site of
your printer model and look around for an updated driver.

It is always advisable to completely remove your printer driver before
installing/reinstalling a driver.
