Using Publisher and Access together.
I was wondering if it would be possible, using publisher (or word) to
take a business card design and have it to where the name changes and a
copy is printed for each name that is pulled from an access database.

Best way to print multiple booklets? continued
I would like to print multiple copies of the same booklet on my laser

I want to print hopefully one page, ten copies of each, then reinsert

booklets up

Is there a good way to do this?

If you are serious about printing your booklet on your local printer...
View, turn off 2 page spread. On page one, print current page, type 10
copies,
click "no" to the Publisher query. Turn the page over, go to page 2,
repeat the
above and so on.
Hi Mary,
Are you saying to do this four times per page? I know when I print out
long projects I get the proper arrangement of the four pages per sheet
printed out, two pages per sheet face. So, I'm hoping there is a way
to do this by only having to take the paper out once.

Text Won't Wrap Around a Picture
I have been using Microsoft's Media Homepage to download clipart. With some
pictures I download, there's no problem, and text wrap works fine. With
other pictures, I can not get text to wrap. The picture lays on top of the
text in the text
box. I've tried sending the image back, and it lays behind the text. I've
also tried sending it forward, and it covers the text. Either way, the text
won't wrap, and I already checked the text wrapping choice. I had a similar
problem once before, but when I sent the image back, the text wrapped.
For more info, my graphic doesn't have a border, and I've already tried
sending it to the back. Also, I'm using Publisher 2002. Tag: is this a good program using to write my book Tag: 153954

Printing in A5
Greetings from Downunder
The items I need to print are similar to greeting cards -- A5 size in
landscape orientation 21 cm wide & 14.7 cm high, side fold -- giving me four
pages each 10.5 cm wide and 14.7 cm high. Creating this is no problem and
all appears perfect right up to "print preview', even appearing correct in
my printer's "print preview" screen. However, when I print, the contents of
each page have changed their orientation to "portrait", and are 90 degrees
out!

Updating Embedded Objects?
Hi there, I have been consistently getting a pop up when I open one of

The properties of this publications printer have changed. Publisher

Font problems with mail marge
Hi, I'm trying to utilize mail merge with a newsletter that I'm mailing out.
The delivery address is printed on the last page of the document. I'm using
Arial font for it. The majority of the document uses Arial and various forms
(bold, italics, normal), but the front page has a different font for a
special message in Gill Sans MT with brush script at the bottom. When I
utilize mail merge, I created a new publication which makes 184 copies of
itself with each copy having a different address on the last page (I carry
this file down to the copier for running). Everything looks ok on it,
however, on page 1, the font Gill Sans MT changed to TimesNewRoman. I tried
the embed option in various configurations, but it didn't work. I changed my
printer driver, but that didn't do anything either. I changed the font on
the mail address label to Gill Sans MT and it changed to TimesNewRoman when I
ran the mail merge. How can I keep this font from changing everytime I run
mail merge?
I'm using Windows XP MCE with Publisher 2003 (part of office 2003). I have
2.5 gigs of memory on a 2.3 gigahertz machine. Printer is a HP photosmart
printer. BTW, the fonts are showing up at TimesNewRoman when I view it on
the display and it reads as TimesNewRoman. Tag: is this a good program using to write my book Tag: 153919

Color Images
Hi Everybody,
1. I have been using an old version of Publisher for files with black and
white images. I like the interface and I like the price.
2. I would like to move on to create files with full color images.
3. I have been told (hopefully incorrectly) that Publisher files are only
CMY rather than CMYK -- black is obtained by combining all of the three
other colors. This would create a rather muddy black.
4. Do recent versions of Publisher create full CMYK files -- i.e. four color
channels. Are these files accepted by offset press shops?

Mail Merge disaster
When needing to print a mail merge for a newsletter 11x17 folded (by our
copier) in half, I get the printout not folded & out of order with
alternating copies right-side up and upside down. It works perfectly without
the mail merge.
The knowledge base article which addresses this issue (http://support.
microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;891904) basically is NOT HELPFUL
since its workaround says to print one record at a time (not practical when
there are 700 records). I did try to print to a PDF document, but the
resulting file was so huge that it shut down the program.
My boss wants to get away from labels being printed & attached to the
newsletter, so I need to get this working.

MS Publisher 2007. Keyboard shortcuts for paragraph text styles.
I've been using MS Publisher since at least 1993 to create a club newsletter.
Currently on Publisher 2003 I'm sampling the features of Publisher 2007
included in the Office 2007 public beta. Publisher 2007 seems OK, but I'm
disappointed that Microsoft have not included the facility to use Keyboard
Shortcuts to format a paragraph's text styles in Publisher 2007.
Is it too late to hope that MS will relent and include this time-saving
facility, a feature of MS Word for years, in the forthcoming new version of
Publisher?
