This may be a stupid question but how do i get text to run over a picture
without it going in a white text box??? i have tried everthing and can not
seem to get my text to run over my pictures without altering its background!
please help me, many thanks

Create a text box, set the fill to "No Fill", place the text box over the
picture.

While the Text Frame is selected go Ctrl+T to make the Text Frame Transparent.
You will also need to send the Picture to the Background.
