        • spanish characters I need to type Spanish characters (like the upside down ?) in Publisher. I used to use the alt and numbers system - now I have a laptop with no keypad and it no longer seems to work.         • Right and Left side pages in 2 page view with sections I'm building a workbook, I want a cover page (right side orientation) an inside cover page (right side orientation) and then I want to begin the content with an introduction page also with right side orientation. I am using the 2-page view to lay out the pages for 3-hole punch, so the master page margins & guides & page numbering is set up for that. I've tried re-doing sections in 1-page view and in 2-page view to try to force the new sections to start on the right-hand page like the beginning of the document will do, but I can't figure out how to make the sections do that as well without inserting a blank page to substitute for the left-side page... and of course, when I do that, the page numbering starts with 2 on the page I want to be 1 even when I ignore master on the blank left side page.         • i need to have more text options in a running writting font I have to format a logo from a hand written sign. The text "Script MT Bold" is quite acceptable but the 'f' needs to have a loop on the bottom not on the top. The dot above the 'i' needs to be round not square.         • Publisher poster page selection I just made a poster that requires (12 sheets) 11"/8.5" paper. I messed up and I had to reprint a certain part of it. Luckily it was on the last row of tiles and I could print from the last page starting off. After reprinting I had to cancel the print to make it stop printing because I am just completely draining my ink and it's not worth reprint the whole thing. I cut it off a tile early and so I had to go and repint again cutting it off after the 8th tile. On my second reprint my printer stopped using the cyan pigmant and was just magenta and yellows for the 8th and 9th tiles...the ones I needed. I checked the help and trouble shooting and it went into an elaborate scheme to make a freaking page selection. It isn't even a page selection it is recreating what part of the poster I want to print as the whole poster using the horizontal and vertical rulers tool. I was looking for something along the lines of the wonderful "classroom in a book" series that Adobe puts out for its products.         • drawing not appearing on screen - Publisher 2003 I had to reinstall Publisher some months ago. Since then many of my documents simply dont show correctly on screen. In particular I can never see the lines around text boxes - although they print perfectly OK. This obviously makes it difficult to make changes! Any ideas?         • Copy and Paste Problem Using Publisher 2003. I am trying to copy and paste an Adobe page into a newsletter I am putting together. When I use either the "paste or Special paste" functions the file transfers to the designated page, however, when I try to save the newsletter file I get a blank balloon from the assistant. The only thing that shows in the balloon is an "OK", clicking on the box terminates the program and the just inserted page is not saved.         • All Blacked Out??? When opening an existing *.pub file either thru Publisher or My Computer the preview page is all black and you cannot see the publication. If you select new it displays the proper white background. I donâ??t know when this problem started but I have tried installing all the service packs for Office (now at SP3). I have tried uninstalling Office Disk 2 and reinstalling. I have messed with the color settings and resolutions. Again, when I click new file it gives me the white background, but any existing Publisher file opens all back. Please help I have looked everywhere.         • Publisher emails I created a newsletter that I send out to about 30 people. I send the publication as the message (not as an attachment). The recipients are telling me that they get 2 copies of the email even though I only send it to them one time. I bc the recipients if it makes any difference.         • Publisher 2003 printer error Publisher 2003 - each time I go to print a newly created document I get an error message "A printer has not been installed on the system". If I save the document and reboot it will then print out. This only applies to Publisher. All other programs are fine and there isn't a problem with the printer. Any ideas?         • Background images resized when printed I have a Publisher 2003 document with background images. The page is setup as standard 8.5 x 11", and background images are cropped to 8.5 x 11". The backgrounds look good within Publisher (i.e., they fill the page and are not tiled). When printed using either the Adobe PDF Converter or the Microsoft Office Image Writer Driver, however, the background images are shrunk a small amount (< 0.25") and tiled.         • Publisher won't print graytones I just switched to Publisher 2003 and I've lost the ability to print gray tones - like when I want to change type from black to a lighter shade of gray. It's not the printer - I can print gray letters or object fine in Word. It's just in Publisher.         • How do I install Office XP SP3 without the disc I am trying to install Office XP SP3. It downloaded and installed so far, then a dialogue box tells me to insert the Office XP professional disc. I no longer have this disc despite looking everywhere.         • Publisher 2003 will only view and print Am running Publisher 2003 on Windows XP SP2. Also Works Suite 2005, Norton Internet Security 2005 and Norton Antivirus, Spybot and Ad-Aware SE personal, all updated regularly and run with no problems indicated. No problems with Publisher until the last week in March. New, Save, Save as, etc. in pull-down menu and all icons in side toolbar are now grayed out. (Have used Publisher from 95 through to current 2003). Have tried Detect and Repair from CD, Reinstall from CD, Uninstall from control panel and reinstall all without success though after each operation I get message â??has been repaired or installed successfullyâ??. Have tried System Restore to an earlier date but this left Publisher corrupt and unable to uninstall. Used System Restore to return to current date and present condition. Have disabled antivirus and internet security but to no effect. Am reluctant to uninstall Norton as it was pre-installed on my computer and I have no disk and have 9 months subscription outstanding. Have clicked on â??activateâ?? from help menu but this just returns me to the program. I have not installed any new programs between Publisher working OK and not working. Have read similar FAQâ??s and deleted all verclsid.exe files except the pre-fetch one and also deleted update kb908531 but no help.         • Lost picture and graphics problem Earlier I asked about losing embedded graphics in Publisher 2003 files. The frames were there and the thumbnails showed up on the Graphics manager screen, but the images would not display on screen. From an earlier exchange I found a reference to changing the acceleration speed on the video card and that solved the problem. All my embedded images are back.
