My spell check is not currently operating.

how do i re-activate.
I am using windows 2000 professional . publisher xp

There is no such version of Publisher as Publisher XP. The Office XP
version of Publisher is named Publisher 2002.

You should have no need to re-activate - once you are activated, you are
fine until you reinstall. If you have reinstalled, reactivating should be
fine (you may need to use the Phone Activation option).
However, this shouldn't be causing problems with your spellchecker.
Did you choose to install the Speller when you installed Publisher?
