How to unlock file with microsoft publisher as it has been locked
how can you unlock if the user has left and you try to unlock using windows
administrator user name and password using microsoft publisher / front page
2000 . Please revert back
I have tried removing service.lck also but no good and server where site is
hosted has Frontpage extension only and no frontpage. And is runing through
sharepoint.

Lockup when inserting pictures
I am having an issue where any microsoft office program locks up when i try
to inert a picture from file. I was trying to insert a jpeg logo into a
Publisher newsletter and the whole program locks up either, before I can
browse to the correct folder or upon clicking the jpeg. I am getting the
same action in word, excel and powerpoint.

Publisher 2002 boarderless printing
I am trying to print a page with a colored background, and I keep getting a
boarder around the edge or top of the page, where nothing prints. I have
tried this using 3 diferent printers with the same results, so I know it is a
seting within Publisher. The page looks fine, but when I print, there is a

Printing Postcards-MAJOR PROBLEM
Ok, so i'm trying to print 2 sided postcards. I'm also printing 3 on a paper.
Well anyways i go to print the front side, everything works. i turn the
paper over to print the back and make sure it is aligned. But it doesn't
work, the sides aren't aligned!!! WHAT DO I DO??? and i can't keep on messing
with it cause the paper i have is very expensive! PLease help! thank you

Images Inline like Word so they move with text
Hi, I just started using Publisher and I'm trying to replicate something I
can do easily in Word. I want to insert a picture within a numbered list, say
after step 3. I don't want any text to the left or right of the image.
However, if step 3 changes and the text gets longer, I want the picture to
know to move itself down and still follow its place in line -- right after
step 3. This is what I can't figure out how to do -- the picture just stays
put and I have to move it manually. The Inline feature in the Format Object
window doesn't seem to do quite the same thing as in Word. Hoping I'm missing
something really simple.

i have word art 2.0....there must be a way to change the thickness of the

My Publisher 2003 documents don't open in Publisher 2007.
My Publisher 2003 documents will not open in Publisher 2007. For example, a
26 page document with text and pictures opens as 1 page with title only. Is

Losing it - can't get catalog to print and fold
Here's the background:
Under Page Setup: Layout is set as Booklet - Page Size 4.5"x11" - Portrait.
Printer and Paper are set as Paer Size: Custom (4.5x11) and Source (Bypass
Tray) Orientation - Portrait.
I'm using a Konica Minolta C450 printer. It duplexes and folds.
I can't figure out it it is the printer settings or the publisher settings
that are off. Any suggestions would help as I have to fix this to mass print

Default for new objects - not available
Hello,
Using Publisher 2003, Windows XP.
I cannot get the Default for New Objects checkbox to be active on text
boxes. Other shapes, no problem. Following all directions to the letter:
1. Create the text box.
2. Right-click>Format Text Box.
3. Change various settings (tried them all).
4. Colors and Lines tab has the checkbox disabled.
I also tried working with a style other than Normal.

When I choose "custom" paper, it allows me to set 11x17, however, it divides

Cannot open older publisher file
I cannot open an older Publisher file. I only have Publisher 2000 on my
computer and I can't open older brochures I created in another version of
Publisher to update them. I am not running any anti-virus software. Is there

Labels
I am using Avery 5971 Labels. I don't want to set up a Mail merge - I want
to be able to view all 30 labels so that I can make changes right on the
label as I wish, rather than from a mail merge list.
This used to be easy... the WHOLE page of 30 came up and I could type
whatever I wanted into each label space provided. Now - it's like even if I
wanted to make labels for canisters, I'd have to set them up in a mail merge
list first, insert fields into the label and the merge... that's a lot more
work than just typing each name onto the labels.
Is there a way to view and manipulate all of the labels at once instead of

Printing a badge with curved names top & bottom?
I need to print a 3 inch badge in either Word or MS Publisher. Color laser
and badge press machine in stock, so that is not an issue. This will be for a
seminar (approx 400 people) and the names will be imported from Excel or
Access.
The badges need to have the top and bottom printed in an arc. Cannot figure

Adobe Acrobat PDF buttons are missing from Publisher
The Acrobat PDF conversion buttons have gone missing from my Publisher 2003
program. They are still available in Word, and other software. How can I
restore the buttons in Publisher?
The Acrobat is Professional, V. 7.0.09-- current. The only way at present

How to send a form to my email address
I am trying to create a form in my website which I would like the page of
content send to my email address. I use "Insert"-"Form Control" to build a
page of the content. I added the "Submit" button to send the form content to
my email address. However, when I published the website, and click the

Pub 2003 can't find font? (but does anyway)
I created a newsletter with Pub 2003. In some text boxes I inserted Word
2003 text that is in Times Roman font. When I open the completed and saved
PUB file, it complains that it can't find this font, which it says is
"unknown" and "unavailable" and is "embedded" in the document.
I hit "OK" and then it finds the font anyway.
What gives? What did I do wrong?

MS Publisher conversion to full display in an email
Hi, how would I go about in converting a MS Publisher document into a format
where I would be able to have it appear NOT as an attachment (embedded icon)
in an email, but rather have the Publisher document appear as if it has

Why is the last page of a duplex print not printing completely?
I am using a Samsug CLP 500 and printing a newletter. The last page (4 of 4)
is being cut-off on the left margin and only part of the page is printing. I
preview the document and it is OK. I am printing on legal size paper and if
I move text to the right, a little more will print. I am within the
guidelines set for the page. Any ideas?

Publisher Printing booklets
I have a booklet comprised of 1/4 pages which are numbered. Publisher is
printing them out 1, 2, 3, 4 etc which, of course, isn't the way you want a
booklet to print.
I have set it in the advanced printing area for duplexing but it still
doesn't paginate correctly for the booklet. Has anyone else been able to do

Printing Booklet
The booklet that I am trying to print, looks great in the edit mode and in
print preview, but when I print it it inserts two 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" (one 11"
X 8 1/2") into the middle of the booklet. Another issue is that I have
asked it not to show the header and footer on the first page and it doesn't
on screen but it does show the footer in print preview and prints the footer.
So, what I'm asking is how do we get the blank pages out of the middle and
the footer off of the cover?

Question about images in 2 column layout
Hello, in my 2 column layout on 8.5x11 paper I am inserting images that fit
perfectly into my columns. I have text above and below these images. What I
want to do consistantly is have the text come down to within say .125 inches
and then begin again .125 inches below the image. However, I often insert
small 8 point font below some images given credit to the owner of that image.
I would like everything to line up properly wherever I do this. Any
