I am a pure novice who designed my website on frontpage on windows 98 and now
have windows XP with publisher 2003. When I download my pages to edit in
publisher from the Internet, they look funny and out of place.
In addition, the L ( buttons) didn't get saved to my publisher files. Is
there any reason for this?

What is the difference between publisher and frontpage??
How and were can I find how to learn publisher and upgrade?
Thanks!

Publisher web files are not the same as FrontPage web files. FrontPage has
been discontinued and Expression is the new program.

Publisher is a destop publishing program, primarily meant for printed
documentation.
FrontPage was a web design program, meant for web design.

If you still have your FrontPage program, use it...

...and in addition to what Mary and JoAnn have said, it's virtually
impossible to edit Publisher generated HTML with FrontPage or any editor.
Well, maybe not impossible but, you'd have to be a super user and still
would have to spend an inordinate amount of time trying.
