    - Comparing Versions Hi, I looked around the Microsoft Office Suite website a bit today, and I found a page that compared PREVIOUS versions against each other in sort of a table format.     - header problems when converting to Adobe I have produced a catalog in Publisher 2003. I created a header/footer and placed a section break between the cover page and the rest of the document. In publisher, the header/footer does not show up on my cover, only on the rest of the document. When I convert it to Adobe Acrobat (pdf), the header shows up on the cover page.     - Deleting custom page in 2007 Hi, I'm new to publisher which may soon become very obvious :-) I did just successfully create and print some business cards but in the process I created 4 custom pages (I would have called them templates. They show the page sizes and margins etc) and would like to delete the ones which are not correct.     - Email bugs when using Publisher to send an email I design art gallery invitations with Publisher but when I send what looks to be a perfectly sorted publisher file that has no 'Design Checker' issues, the resulting email has little problems. These could be fragmented outline borders applied to an image or random spaces between images and text - but none of these exist on the publisher document itself!     - Page Numbering Hi, I'm working on my first newsletter using Publisher 2003. It is going well, but I have a confusing problem with page numbering. The newsletter is four pages long. I took the original page numbers off, and made new text boxes for the title and page #. Page 1 is fine (and not numbered) Page 4 is fine. But page 2 and 3 keep changing back and forth.     - Insert or LINK to images Can anyone advise me - I am creating a range of documents which will only ever be printed from or viewed on the PC which creates them. The only exception to this is that I will occasionally e creating .pdf files from them which will be emailed to other people. In an effort to keep file sizes down I am using the LINK function instead of INSERT image. I sthis likely to cause any problems? My understanding is that if I wish another user (with Publisher) to open a file I have created then the pictures MUST be INSERTED, however I assume that the .pdf file overcomes this problem.     - Optimum number of pages I am doing a book that should be about 200 pages (each page is half an 8x11). I now have 116 and when I try to add pages (on the INSERT menu) It says ok and then cuts me down to 16! I can't find anything that tells me how many pages one file can handle in Publisher 2003. The last book I did was on the original version of publisher!     - disengage mail merge Since the completed merge is too large to email, I have mail merge documents emailed to me along with the data sources in excel. These spreadsheets are being kept in xls form and used throughout the organization for consistancy so I'd prefer not to change applications. Since I am changing the source of the data ( from their computer to mine) I have to re-designate that source in the mail merge. My problem is that those choices are grayed out to me. My only options are Create or Edit Address List and these do not allow choices of xls files. I cannot find any place to disengage the mail merge once it is initiated. "cancel" is grayed out.     - page numbers I am writing a series of booklets for use in eastern Europe. I am in the process of setting up a template but running into some complications (first time I have used any version of Publisher; version 2007 is version I'm using). It is in metric (105 x 148.5cm), consists of 32 pages and after the first page, facing pages (last page is also single to keep publication with 4 page set up). I want the first and last pages of the template to be blank; the second and third pages in the template just to contain at bottom "TEI Â© 2008" but starting at page 4 (with facing page 5) and from then on, to contain "TEI Â© 2008" but also page numbers. I do not mind whether they are at the top or bottom of the page (but advice welcome on this) but on even pages (starting page 4), page numbers would need to be on left; and on odd pages, starting facing page 5,page numbers would need to be on right. Developments so far - I have first and last pages blank and pages 2 & 3 with just "TEI Â© 2008". I also have "TEI Â© 2008" on all the other pages (4 to 32) but for whatever reasons I cannot insert page numbers on left starting page 4 (which would be page 1) and on right, starting page 5 (which would be page 2); when I insert page numbers, page 4 is numbered page 4 when it needs to be numbered page 1 and so on. I like to have my align center, middle, left and right up in my tool bar as i
use them frequently. I get rid of stuff I don't use to make the room.

How do I set that as default? I think I am doing it but when I open a new
document after a shutdown, it goes away.

I also want to say that I wish we didn't have to scroll down to find the
letter portrait and letter landscape default page. I wish they could be
customized. I've created those two as templates so I have them ready but
please send in request to make that available in future upgrades!

Right-click any toolbar, customize, drag what you don't want on the toolbar to
the toolbar customization menu.
In my opinion the entire page setup needs changing.
